Windows Vista Delayed

March 22nd, 2006

It has been rumoured that Windows Vista will be released end of this year, somewhere in the beginning of November. In news today, it is really disappointing to know that Microsoft has decided to delay the release of Windows Vista to next January.

In Red Herring today:

Microsoft has delayed the release of the consumer version of its next-generation operating system, Windows Vista, until next January.

The business versions of the operating system are still on track to ship in November of this year, but the consumer softwarer delay that Microsoft announced Tuesday indicates broader problems with the operating system that could prompt companies to delay their purchases and deployment. This is the second delay Microsoft has announced for Vista.

Why such a big software giant cannot confirm a release date?

Update: Users disappointed with the delay of Windows Vista.
