Google Sitemaps Improved

November 24th, 2005

Just today when I log in to Google Sitemaps, I see that the user interface has improved. I find that I can actually see some statistics for each of my sites (You need to have your site verified to view the statistics). In the stats, you get to see:

  • Query stats
Search keywords that lead to your site
  • Crawl stats
Show you if there’s any crawl errors and page rank distribution for the whole site.
  • Page analysis
What content type and encodings your site concentrates on.
  • Index stats
Lists some advance search phrase to check how well your site has been crawled.

Do take a look yourself. If you still don't have your sitemaps installed, do check my posting on integrating Sitemaps plugin into WordPress.

If my article helped you solved your problem, consider buy me a beer!
