Three weeks of hard work and I finally cleared my inbox, from 3,000 messages to 0 message. Maybe I'm not as effective as the problogger who took only a day to do it, still, I managed to clear it! Some of the mails in my mailbox dated year 2005. That was the last time I cleared everything. It even run out of storage at some time, luckily Google increased it.

All I did was to label each of the email with related Gmail labels (I have 20+ of them), then archive it.
If you are interested to do the same, Lifehacker has a good guide on this.
Other than my mailbox, I also just remove all icons and files from my desktop. I love empty desktop. Especially when I need to show it on a projector when I am doing a system demonstration.
I also had a paper tray that keeps all documents pending to be filed. Two hours of filing work yesterday, it is also empty now!
I feel good now. Hopefully I could keep them always empty after this.

I really don't understand why a blog like the adCenter would want to use show short rss feed, when their main purpose is to spread the news. Are they afraid of spammers took their blog contents and post it to somewhere else? I thought that would help them further spread their products to more audience?
A second reason I could guess would be that they want their readers to check out their website? Or, they want their readers to click on the advertisements on their website? As far as I know, subscribers, whether they read on RSS reader or at the website, they don't click much on ads. If they are so worried about this, make some RSS ads.
I'm not sure about you, most of the time I really won't click on the "read more" link, unless they really are giving out money.
After thinking a while, I think maybe I should go to the site and have a look. Maybe their website is really so cool that everyone has to check it out. Guess what I see?

Maybe we should create a campaign to boycott websites with short feeds. We want full text feed! We want full text feed! We want full text feed!

Are you with me?

For Malaysian only: As far as I know, there's only one bank in Malaysia where we can collect our Western Union payment, the CIMB Bank. After I switch to Western Union cash as my Google AdSense payment method about 2 months ago, I finally got to collect my first payment.

The collection process was really easy. It only takes 10 minutes. It would have taken more than a month if you were to wait for Google to deliver the cheque to you, and to wait for the cheque to clear.
What do you need?
- CIMB Bank Western Union Money Transfer slip
- CIMB Cash Deposit slip (if you want to deposit the money into your account)
- Your Malaysian Identity Card
What information do you need to fill?
- Your first and last name
- Your address
- Your phone number
- Google's name (Google Inc.)
- Google's address (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA)
- Payment amount
- Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN)
You could get most of the information from payment history page in Google AdSense, except for your own details.
One problem with this payment method. There is no notification from Google when they issued the payment. That means, you will have to check the payment details from time to time to find out.
I believe many of you have enjoyed this facility. What do you think?

That day, I mentioned about Chitika gets hacked. And yesterday, my blog got hacked.
My colleague notified me about it when he saw these in his Google Reader.

Actually, these are few of the drafts that I planned to write, but due to demanding works, I ignored them for months. They somehow managed to add some links to the end of the drafts, then publish it.
The hacker also managed to changed the upload path to somewhere else, and it actually took a while for me to figure out. I only wonder why my images are being uploaded to a weird directory.
Finally, all seems to be OK now, after I upgraded to WordPress 2.5.
Update: I notice some compatibility issues for my theme after I upgraded to version 2.5. Fixed a few of them. Please let me know via comment, if you found any problem with my blog.

I didn't know I had an online computer software store until now, after I put in some time to check latest features from Chitika. The concept of the advertising scheme is very innovative, although I don't think I'll benefit much from the program.
I also added a ShopCloud to my sidebar. If you are interesting in any kind of computer software, do have a look!
What do you think about the new advertising concepts?
If you have been using it for a long time, how's the response?
