Google Transit Helps You Plan Trips

December 8th, 2005

Google launched a new service in Google Labs, Google Transit Trip Planner. Good idea. As soon as I reached the site, I simply run a test by clicking one of the examples ("pdx to 100 nw couch st, portland, oregon") on the site. It returned to me with:

Sorry, we were unable to calculate transit directions between pdx and 100 nw couch st, portland, oregon.

I don't understand this. It's not working (at the time of this post published). Maybe it's only intended for U.S. citizens only. I think I should let those of you in U.S. to tell me more about it!
