Track Blogs Updates thru Email

October 19th, 2005

Since Google introduced Google Reader, I find myself reading blog updates everyday without having to check each blog individually. As an alternative to subscribing RSS, you can now receive the update summary of multiple blogs in a single email every morning. Blogarithm lets you enter the blog address that you would like to watch for updates, and send a summary of updates, for all blog addresses you have entered, to your mail box. Do try Blogarithm if you are not on any RSS reader.

If my article helped you solved your problem, consider buy me a beer!

I just set up Google Reader yesterday, so far I’m pretty pleased with it (that its, afterall, how I came to this page ;)).

I’ve got like 29 blogs in there, so it took me quite to stick ’em in there. Don’t think I have the strength left to stick them all somewhere else…

It does look pretty awesome though.

I hope you made the right choice because I’m doing the same myself. Hope that we don’t have to switch to other rss readers after this! 🙂

Email updates might just convenient when there’s only a few blogs to track.

I can see it being useful, but it’s still a lot of work to resubscribe to all those blogs again, unless they let you import them or something.

I am still not really sure whether I prefer Google Reader or Google Personal as I tend to go to the blog itself to read the article. I might try that and see if it works for me…

EngLee says:

Well, most of the blog doesn’t provide full rss feed. You might be able to read part of it only (through rss), further read at that blog if you find it interesting. And of course, in the end, you will need to go to the blog to post comment.
