'Google' has been added to Oxford English Dictionary (OED) as a verb, just like what happened to 'Xerox' long time ago. I'm afraid that this will be a common sentence one day:

I used Yahoo to google for books.

I find it interesting to know the fact it has been accepted formally, although I've been using 'google' as a verb all the while.

If you afraid to get people to find out who you are, you can stay anonymous online all the time. However, sometimes, you will need to fill up forms with valid information. So, when you really need to fill up online those forms, use this Fake Name Generator by zulugrid.

It generates name, address, phone, mother's maiden name and birthdate that validates with USPS system. (I don't know what system is that, but that's what the author claimed.)

With the great help from digg, the number of generated identities grow by hundreds on every time I click on refresh to generate new identity. It's currently the top digg.

Since every thing works both ways, be careful not to get cheated by some your online friends.

Internet search leader Google is testing a system that aims to speed purchases online but bears no resemblance to the popular PayPal payments service of Web auctioneer eBay, Google's chief executive said Thursday.

In another article from News.com:

Google's online payment system, Gbuy, is expected to launch June 28, further pitting the Internet giant against industry titan and rival eBay, according to a research note released Friday by a Wall Street analyst.

Hopefully it's a service that's available for every part of the world, not a for-US-only service.

Be first to sign up for Picasa Web Albums by Google.

Just pick a bunch of your photos from Picasa and upload them into a web album in a couple of clicks. Once they’re online, it’s super-easy to share them – click the “Share” button from anywhere on the site or, just email friends the URL for your public gallery.

If you have never heard of Picasa, here's what Google said about it:

... it’s Google’s free desktop photo management software. Picasa is a quick download that makes it easy for people to organize and edit their pictures using something that’s simple and clutter-free. It’s all about the photos.

You might want to take a look at the sample album before you sign up.

Note that this is also a limited test, so you will have to wait for Google's reply after you submitted your email to them. I suppose this is Google's solution to prevent server load problems faced by other previous projects such as Google Analytics.
