Chitika Advertising Program

October 5th, 2005

Recently, as you might have noticed, I saw quite a number of bloggers adopting a new advertising program, Chitika. I think it's worth for us to spend some time to learn more about it. The thing that caught my eyes was the eMiniMalls which looks so much more interesting, if to be compared to the normal text ads. In addition to that, it has been said that the pay per click is higher although the click through rate is lower. What do you think?

If my article helped you solved your problem, consider buy me a beer!

That would be good if it was more customizable. I like (this word here is relative) Google AdSense better because I can change the colours and all the visual information with CSS so that it will fit with my site (I don’t have ads on my site). Chitka would stand out, yes. But that’s not necessarily what users or ad-clickers want to see.

Yes, that’s why it has been said to have lower click through rate. It’s a trade off to have higher cost per click. 🙂

However, I’m just happy to see and learn those stuff though I don’t earn much from it. Frankly, there isn’t any cent generated from Adsense in this blog yet. 🙂

It looks neat but I think it would only really work on sites that get a large amount of hits anyway. However all the info about the product is suplied in the ad so I guess it would get less interest?

I am currently using Google Adsense and on my blog it doesn’t really do well, only $0.12. I do use it on my other ste though where it gets about £1 a day…
