I had to turn off commenting. Feeling tired to see hundreds of wordpress notifying me about spam comments. If you are experiencing the same thing, perform this SQL:

UPDATE wp_posts SET comment_status = "closed";

This blog was away during the weekend. It's definitely not for any good reason but hard disk failure at the server. All my files on the server have gone! And, to have my database and files recovered, I believe it's going to take lots of money and time. So, I decided to use whatever backup I have and leave other posts gone.

I'm lucky that I upgraded to wordpress 2 not too long ago and the pre-installed database backup plugin was great. My last backup was 2 weeks ago and I recovered a few more posts from Google's cache. However, my other blog which has not been upgraded to wordpress 2 had all the posts lost!

I hope you all will do more backup so that you won't get the same fate.

I have just installed my newly designed theme, The All Blue Theme. Since this is my first attempt on Wordpress theme, please let me know if you find any bugs around. Also, I'll be glad if web designers would give some opinions on the colors or for better usability.

You might aware that I'm not updating my blog frequently now. I'm currently busy working on a new theme, for the very first time. Hope I can get it finished in these 2 days. Please don't expect too much. It's only a plain text template without much graphics works.

Finally, I upgraded my blog to Wordpress 2.0. At this moment, I'm still in the dilemma whether I want to use back the same theme, adopt a new one, or probably create a new one myself. I suppose that would take a few day for me to decide.

Just forget about that first. Let me share my upgrading experience, a somewhat simple guide on upgrading to Wordpress 2.0.
